Everbuild 705 TileSet Rapid Set Tile Mortar Floor and Wall Tile Adhesive 20kg (RAPID20) is a cement-based, polymer modified powdered adhesive designed for same day fixing and grouting of ceramic floor tiles. With rapid setting performance, excellent water resistance and extremely high bond strength, it’s suitable for internal and external tiling and ideal for busy areas such as heavily walked floors. The grey, slump-free mix offers a practical working time while still achieving a fast set, making it a dependable choice for time-critical installations in domestic and commercial environments, including showers and areas of constant immersion such as swimming pools.

How to Use

• Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust and loose material.

• Concrete / Screeds / Renders: Allow new concrete/screeds to dry for at least 4 weeks. Prime with Everbuild 501 PVA Bond diluted 3 parts water : 1 part PVA and allow to dry.

• Timber Floors (interior only): Overboard with minimum 12mm moisture resistant plywood/chipboard, screwed at 150mm centres. Prime with Everbuild 503 SBR Bond diluted 1:3. Mix adhesive with Everbuild 503 SBR Bond diluted 1:1 with water (or neat SBR on certain timber boards where required).

• Existing Tiles: Ensure firmly bonded. Key glazed surfaces. Apply a bonding coat with neat Everbuild 501 PVA Bond and apply adhesive while the coat is still tacky.

• Always add powder to water and mix to a slump-free mortar.

• Spread to 6mm and comb to 3mm; fix tiles with a slight twist to remove voids.

• Fix tiles within around 20 minutes of spreading (conditions dependent). If a skin forms, remove and reapply fresh adhesive.

• Clean off excess while wet. Do not add more water once the mix begins to go off.

• Can it be used in wet areas and showers?
  Yes. It has excellent water resistance and is recommended for tiling domestic, communal and power showers.

• Is it suitable for swimming pools or constant immersion?
  Yes. It is suitable for constant immersion applications such as swimming pools when installed correctly.

• Can I use it on gypsum plaster?
  No. Do not use directly onto gypsum plaster due to risk of expansion and failure—use Everbuild paste adhesives where appropriate.

• Can I re-temper the mix by adding extra water later?
  No. Never add further water after mixing—this will destroy the strength and bond performance.

• Is it suitable for wooden floors?
  Yes, for interior timber floors only, but it must be prepared and mixed as specified using Everbuild 503 SBR Bond to accommodate movement.

• Do not walk on floors until the adhesive has set (usually 1–2 hours, site conditions dependent).

• Not recommended for use on glazed tiles and bricks, paint or metal surfaces.

• Store at moderate temperatures and protect from frost and damp.
