Trade Deal 20kg Cromapol is a fibre reinforced liquid acrylic resin dispersed in solvent designed to prevent the ingress of water and is effective on all common roofing surfaces and types.

Due to the high level of fibres in Cromapol the coating will bridge small gaps and require only a one coat application to give instant waterproofing.

General sealing, maintenance, repair and waterproofing of most common roofs in wet or dry conditions for use on concrete, fibre cement, roofing felt, mastic, asphalt, existing bituminous roof coatings, rigid uPVC corrugated iron, metals, slates, brickwork, tiles, lead, Glass fibre, copper and zinc. Waterproofing guttering plastic and metal, down pipes, gully's, flashings, upstands, vents and leadwork.

How to use Cromapol:

  1. Clean all debris to ensure a dust free surface, all moss and lichen must be removed using a Fungicidal Wash, ensuring all corners and gutters are clean and free from plant growth.
  2. Ensure the area to be repaired is free from standing water, make good all cracks, splits, small holes and flashings prior to application.
  3. Gap or expansion joints greater than 3mm must be covered using Glass‐Fibre scrim and Cromapol this must be carried out prior to full coating.
  4. Cromapol will tolerate damp surfaces although as with any application for best results Cromar recommend applying to a dry surface.
  5. Cromapol is easily applied using a brush, roller or squeegee.
  6. Application temperature should be between 5 degree C  and 25 degree C.

    One coat is usually sufficient; apply generously to achieve full waterproof coverage.

  10. Can it be painted over or coated with other products?
    Cromapol is designed as a final coat. If overcoating, test compatibility with the chosen product.


Drying time up to 1 week depending on temperature and thickness of coating.

The product maybe soft for a further period but this is not detrimental to the waterproofing qualities of the product.
