Flow Rock Glue PRO 2.5 Litre Ultimate Garden Decorative Rock Gravel Mulch Binder RGLUE2L
Barcode: 5061029212862
MPN: RGLUE2L
Overview:
Flow Rock Glue PRO 2.5 Litre is a compact pack of the same water-based binder used in the larger trade sizes, ideal for smaller garden projects and touch-up work. It’s designed to be applied over or mixed through gravel, slate chippings, bark, mulch and other decorative aggregates to help keep them where you want them.
Use this handy 2.5L size on short paths, small borders, around stepping stones, feature pots, front door areas and localised trouble spots where loose material constantly shifts or scatters. Once cured, the surface remains porous and free-draining, so rainwater can still soak through to the soil beneath.
Available in 4 sizes including a 750ml trigger Spray
What It’s Designed to Do:
Flow Rock Glue PRO 2.5L helps you:
Tidy up small loose areas without committing to a big container
Reduce gravel, bark and slate spreading onto lawns, paving and doorways
Limit movement on lightly sloping or high footfall patches
Sharpen the look of edges, borders, pots and decorative beds
Cut down on sweeping and raking in key walkway and entrance zones
How the Binder Behaves:
Gentle Binding Action:
The binder seeps into the top layer of aggregate and dries to create a fine, flexible film around the pieces. This encourages them to knit together, so the surface behaves more “settled” while still feeling natural, not rock solid.
Permeable Finish:
Once dry, the treated area remains free-draining, allowing water to pass through rather than sit on top. That makes it suitable near planting, trees and shrubs where roots still need moisture.
Garden-Suited Formula:
As a water-based product, Flow Rock Glue PRO is intended for domestic gardens and landscaped areas. When used as directed and fully cured, it is suitable for spaces used by plants, pets and visitors.
Weather-Capable Surface:
The bonded layer is designed to cope with normal weathering, showers and everyday foot traffic, helping small decorative areas stay neater for longer.
Where You Can Use It:
Ideal for use over or mixed with:
Decorative gravel and chippings on short paths and strips
Slate and similar aggregates around steps and features
Bark and mulch in small beds, planters and under shrubs
Around stepping stones or paving slabs set into gravel or bark
Localised problem areas where material tracks or washes away
Best results are obtained with clean, reasonably uniform stone or bark rather than very fine, dusty or clogged material.

Application Methods:
You can use Flow Rock Glue PRO 2.5L for both surface treatment and pre-mixed installations, just as with the larger sizes.
Method 1 – Surface Treatment (Existing Areas):
Preparation:
Ensure the surface is dry, swept and free from loose debris, leaves and heavy moss.
Rake to an even level and form any edges or shapes you want to retain.
First Application:
Shake the container well.
Apply using a small garden sprayer or a watering can with a fine rose, working back and forth so the top layer is evenly dampened.
Work In & Firm:
Lightly rake or stir the top few millimetres to help the binder penetrate.
Gently press or tamp with a board or float to settle and level the surface.
Second Application:
Apply a second light coat over the compacted area to build up the bonded layer.
Curing:
Leave the treated area for about 24 hours in dry conditions.
Avoid walking, placing pots or watering on the surface until it has fully dried.
Afterwards, check for any loose spots and treat locally if needed.
Method 2 – Pre-Mix with Aggregate (New or Reworked Areas):
Combine:
Place your gravel, bark, mulch or slate into a tub, tray or small mixer.
Add Flow Rock Glue PRO following the guidance on the label. As a starting point, around 1 litre per 16 square ft can be used and adjusted to suit material and depth.
Mix Thoroughly:
Stir or tumble until the aggregate appears evenly coated, with no clearly dry areas.
Lay & Shape:
Pour into the prepared location and spread to your desired depth.
Shape, level and form edges or profiles while the mix remains workable.
Optional Top Mist:
If required, lightly mist the finished surface with a little more binder to enhance surface stability.
Cure:
Allow 24–48 hours curing time, depending on weather.
Keep the area clear of people, pets and hoses until completely dry and firm to the touch.
Coverage Guidance:
Because this is the smallest size in the range, it is aimed at compact areas and spot work.
As a general indication, manufacturer guidance suggests 5L can treat up to around 8m² at multiple coats, so this 2.5L bottle is suited to roughly half that area under similar conditions.
Actual coverage will vary depending on:
Aggregate size and depth
Whether you are spraying over or pre-mixing
How many coats you choose to apply
For best results, always consult the label and adjust according to the material and finish you are working with.
Important Application Notes:
Only apply in dry, frost-free weather.
Avoid application if rain, heavy dew or very damp conditions are expected during curing.
Do not allow people, pets or vehicles onto the surface until fully cured.
Clean tools, sprayers and watering cans straight after use with clean water.
Who This 2.5L Size Is Ideal For:
Homeowners with small garden projects, such as a short gravel path, front door area or border strip.
Gardeners tidying feature corners, planters, ornaments and focal points with decorative stone or bark.
Pet owners wanting to test Rock Glue PRO in one or two key dog routes before treating larger areas.
Tradespeople and handymen needing a trial size for one-off jobs or small remedial work without buying a large container.
Additional Tips:
On gentle slopes or in high-wear patches, consider a slightly heavier application or the pre-mix method for extra stability.
As with any stabiliser, there may be a subtle change in appearance when dry, so it is always sensible to trial a small, inconspicuous section first before treating the whole area.
While we don’t anticipate any issues, it’s always wise to test on a small area first to ensure surface compatibility.
