Flow Rock Glue PRO 10 Litre Ultimate Garden Decorative Rock Gravel Mulch Binder RGLUE10L
Barcode: 5061029212800
MPN: RGLUE10L
Overview:
Flow Rock Glue PRO is a clear, water-based binding resin developed to take control of loose decorative materials in the garden. When applied to gravel, slate, bark, mulch or other similar aggregates, it helps form a lightly bonded, tidy surface that keeps its natural look but is far less likely to kick out, wash away or migrate onto lawns and paving.
Use it on paths, borders, beds, around feature stones, in pots and display areas where you want a clean finish without casting everything in concrete. Once fully cured, the treated surface remains permeable, free-draining and safe for use around plants, pets and wildlife.
What It’s Designed to Do:
Flow Rock Glue PRO is formulated to:
Hold loose material in place so it doesn’t constantly move, scatter or track indoors
Reduce wash-out and erosion from rain and watering
Help define edges and shapes around paths, beds and features
Maintain a natural appearance rather than a solid, resin-bound “pavement”
Keep surfaces lower maintenance, especially in high-traffic spots and pet routes
How the Binder Behaves Works:
Flexible Micro-Bond:
The liquid works its way into the top layer of aggregate and dries to form a flexible film around the particles. This encourages the material to knit together but still allows a little movement, so it feels natural underfoot rather than rock-hard.
Free-Draining Finish:
Once cured, water continues to drain through to the soil below, supporting healthy roots and preventing puddling. This makes it well suited to planted borders, tree rings and decorative beds.
Garden-Friendly Composition:
Being water-based and free from aggressive solvents, Rock Glue PRO is designed for use in domestic gardens and landscaped spaces. When fully dry, it’s suitable for use near plants, pets and wildlife.
Built for Outdoor Conditions:
The cured binder offers good resistance to rain, wind and everyday foot traffic, helping the surface stay looking neat over time.
Available in 4 sizes including a 750ml trigger Spray
Where You Can Use It:
Suitable over or mixed through:
Decorative gravel and chippings
Slate chips and similar aggregates
Bark, mulch and wood-based coverings
Around paving stones, stepping stones and edging
In pots, planters and feature areas where loose material keeps moving
(Avoid very fine dust-like material – best results are with normal decorative grades.)

This video shows how Flow Rock Glue Pro binds garden stones and gravel, demonstrating its application process and holding strength for pathway and landscaping projects.
Application Methods:
You can use Flow Rock Glue PRO in two main ways, depending on whether you’re treating an existing area or laying new aggregate.
Method 1 – Surface Treatment (Existing Areas):
Preparation:
Make sure the area is clean, dry and free from loose debris.
Level and rake the gravel, bark or mulch to the finish you want.
First Application:
Shake the container thoroughly.
Apply Rock Glue PRO using a garden sprayer or watering can in a slow, even pass so the surface is evenly dampened, not flooded.
Work In & Compact:
Lightly rake or agitate the top layer to help the binder seep deeper.
Press or tamp the surface using a board, float or plate to firm and level it.
Second Application:
Apply a second even coat to the compacted surface to strengthen the bonded layer.
Touch-Up & Curing:
After around 24 hours, check for any loose spots and lightly re-treat if necessary.
Keep the area dry and undisturbed during curing – no rain, watering or foot traffic.
Method 2 – Pre-Mix with Aggregate (New Installations):
Combine:
Place your gravel, bark, mulch or slate into a suitable mixing tub or mixer.
Add Rock Glue PRO at the rate recommended on the label (as a guide, approx. 1 litre per 16 sq.ft – adjust to suit depth and material).
Coat Evenly:
Mix thoroughly until all pieces appear evenly coated with no dry patches.
Lay & Shape:
Pour the treated material into the prepared area and spread to the required depth.
Shape and level to your preferred finish.
Optional Top Mist:
For extra cohesion, lightly mist the surface with additional Rock Glue PRO.
Cure:
Leave to cure for 24–48 hours, depending on temperature and humidity.
Keep people, pets and hoses away until completely dry and firm to the touch.
Coverage Guidance:
As a working guide, manufacturer data indicates 5L can treat up to approx. 8m² or around 20kg of gravel at three coats.
This 10L size can therefore treat roughly double that area under similar conditions.
Actual coverage will vary depending on:
Aggregate type and size
Depth of material
Whether you are spraying over or pre-mixing
How heavily you apply each coat
Always follow the instructions on the container and adjust to site conditions.
Important Application Notes:
Apply only when the surface and weather are dry and frost-free.
Avoid use if rain or heavy dew is expected during the curing period.
Do not allow treated areas to be walked on or hosed until fully dry.
Clean tools and equipment with clean water immediately after use.
Who It’s For:
Home Gardeners: Ideal for smartening paths, seating areas, gravel borders and around raised beds without needing a fully bound resin system.
Landscapers & Garden Designers: Useful for show gardens, display beds and client installations where loose material needs to stay put.
Pet Owners: Helps reduce scatter in dog runs and pet routes, while remaining pet-safe once cured.
Small Contractors & Handymen: A practical stabilising option for domestic landscaping jobs where tidiness and speed of installation are important.
Additional Information & Tips:
No mixing required for the surface treatment method – simply shake and apply.
Works well on both freshly laid and existing decorative areas.
Very loose, deep or unstable areas may benefit most from the pre-mix method, especially on slopes.
Colour change is normally minimal, but as with all binders, always trial a small, hidden patch first to check the final appearance and bond.
While we don’t anticipate any issues, it’s always wise to test on a small area first to ensure surface compatibility.
