Designed to protect the roof from heat an easily brushable paint which dries to a silvery Reflective finish.

A bitumen coating with aluminium pigment that's light reflective, the coating dries to a silvery finish the product reflects the sun's rays and keeps the roof and any other surface much cooler so extending the life.

Specifically designed for application over primed metal walls and roofs to reduce heat absorption.

Bond it Solar Paint Benefits and Uses

• Fast drying 1 hour at normal temperatures.
• Substantially Prolongs life of roof repairs and bituminous coatings,

• As a light heat reflective coating over Primed metals and Bituminous coatings and felts.
• Can also be used on aged steel roofs not fresh galvanised sheets.

Surface Preparation

• All surfaces must be structurally sound, clean, dry and free from surface contaminants such as grease, rust and dirt.
• If necessary, remove any organic growth i.e. lichen, moss with a fungicidal wash such as Bond It Patio Blaster.
• If the surface is still dusty after cleaning, or covered with weathered bitumen, prime with Bitumen Primer and allow to dry.

Application

• Stir prior to use and periodically during application.
• Apply two coats by brush or mohair roller, the second coat being applied as soon as the first coat is dry.
• A better reflective finish is produced if the product is finished with a brush even if applied with a roller.

Over recently applied bituminous surfaces allow the following minimum periods to elapse after the final coat has dried before applying ALUMINIUM SOLAR REFLECTIVE PAINT

• hot applied coatings ‐ 24 hours.
• solvent based coatings ‐ 10 days.
• water based coatings ‐ 14 days.

Not suitable for direct application to expanded polystyrene.
