Bond it Bitubond 2.5 Litre tin of thin bituminous based aluminium heat reflective protective paint, designed to reflect the harmful sunrays and heat away from the roof surface to extend the life of bitumen based roof coatings and roof felt, Heat is the Main killer of Roof Surface Coatings and this reflective paint finish will reduce the roofs temperature dramatically and extend the life of the roof, the silver grey finish will be much cooler to the touch than a black finished roof.

Specifically designed for application over primed metal walls and roofs to reduce heat absorption.

How to Use Bond It Solar Reflective Roofing Paint:

Surface Preparation:

1. All surfaces must be structurally sound, clean, dry and free from surface contaminants such as grease, rust and dirt.
2. If necessary, remove any organic growth i.e. lichen, moss with a fungicidal wash such as Bond It Patio Blaster.
3. If the surface is still dusty after cleaning, or covered with weathered bitumen, prime with Bitumen Primer and allow to dry.

Application of Solar Roof Paint:

1. Stir prior to use and periodically during application.
2. Always apply from a paint kettle and always replace the lid on the tin to avoid evaporation.
3. Apply two coats by brush or mohair roller, the second coat being applied as soon as the first coat is dry.
4. A better reflective finish is produced if the product is finished with a brush even if applied with a roller.

Over Recently Applied Bituminous Surfaces Allow the Following Minimum Periods:

Before applying ALUMINIUM SOLAR REFLECTIVE PAINT

• Hot applied coatings ‐ 24 hours.
• Solvent based coatings ‐ 10 days.
• Water based coatings ‐ 14 days.

Bond It Solar Roof Reflective Paint Approximate Coverage Per Litre:

• 4 to 6 meters square on porous substrates.
• up-to 11 meters square on non porous.

Not suitable for:

X: Direct application to expanded polystyrene.
