How to Use Everbuild 702 Aqua Plus Water-Resistant Tile Adhesive – 5 Litre 7.5kg

1. Surfaces to be tiled must be clean, dry and sound.
2. Apply adhesive to wall at a depth of 3-6 mm no less than 3 mm, no greater than 6 mm combing out an area of no greater than 1 m2 at a time.
3. In dry situations, use a suitable notched trowel across the surface of the adhesive before placing the tiles into position and securing with a slight twist action to remove air voids.
4. In areas subject to wet conditions, do not use a notched trowel, bed the tiles directly into the surface of the adhesive and, again, secure with a slight twist action.
5. In both situations, it is good practice to periodically remove a tile and check that at least 75 % of the tile is covered in adhesive, if this is not the case, apply fresh adhesive and re-position.

No. Everbuild 702 Aqua Plus is not recommended for use with flooring, an adhesive designed for floors such as Sika Sikaceram 240 Tile Adhesive, should be used this adhesive can also be used for heated floors.

3. How long does the adhesive take to set?
The adhesive typically sets within 24 hours, but drying times may vary based on room conditions such as temperature and humidity.

4. Can it be used outdoors?
No, Everbuild 702 Aqua Plus is formulated for internal use only. For outdoor applications, use an adhesive designed for external environments such as Everbuild 705 Tileset.

5. Does it require mixing before use?
No, the adhesive comes pre-mixed and is ready to use directly from the container.

6. Can it be used in continuously wet areas like swimming pools?
No, the water-resistant properties of Everbuild 702 Aqua Plus make it an excellent choice for areas frequently exposed to water, including Power Showers enclosures and splash zones, however, for areas subjected to constant water immersion, use an appropriate tile adhesive such as Sika Sikaceram 272.

7. How do I clean tools after using this adhesive?
Clean tools and remove excess adhesive from tiles with a damp cloth immediately after use. Once dried, removal will require mechanical scraping.

8. What surfaces can it be applied to?
