Overview

SikaSeal Fire Guard White 295ml is a one part water based ablative acoustic intumescent sealant designed for sealing joints and gaps in internal fire rated structures. Supplied here as a trade box of 12 cartridges, it is a practical choice for larger jobs where reliable fire stopping and acoustic sealing are both required. It is suitable for use around door frames, partition walls, service trunkings and other low movement construction joints, helping maintain fire wall integrity while also reducing sound transmission.

Previously known as Everbuild Fire Mate Intumescent Acrylic Sealant, this product is now supplied as part of the Sika brand transition under the SikaSeal Fire Guard name. When exposed to heat, the sealant swells to help resist the passage of fire for up to 4 hours in suitably designed joints. Its non slump formula is easy to apply and tool, while the cured seal remains firm yet flexible.

How to Use

• Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, loose material and old sealant

• For non porous substrates, improve adhesion by cleaning the surface and allowing it to dry fully before application

• Priming is generally not required, although small test areas are always recommended

• Cut the cartridge tip carefully and fit the nozzle

• Trim the nozzle at a 45 degree angle to suit the joint size

• Apply using a standard sealant gun with steady pressure

• Tool the sealant for a neat finish using a spatula or wetted tool

• For neat edges, use masking tape and remove it shortly after application

• Clean uncured product with wipes or a damp cloth
