Product Overview:

The Ronseal One Coat Damp Seal in a 250ml tin provides a long-lasting solution for permanently blocking damp stains on walls and ceilings.

This versatile paint can be applied directly to damp surfaces, allowing trapped moisture to escape without causing further harm. Once dry, you can easily paint or wallpaper over it, blending seamlessly with your home decor.

Preparation and Application:

• Before You Begin: Ensure that any root cause of dampness has been fixed. Maintain good ventilation by opening doors and windows and placing dust sheets to protect surrounding areas.
• Surface Preparation: Remove wallpaper with a scraper and sand down any loose or flaking paint. Make sure the area is clean. If mould is present, treat it with the Everbuild 404 Fungicidal Wash to fully prepare the area.
• Applying the Damp Seal: Stir the paint thoroughly before application. Use a brush or roller to apply it evenly. When covering a smaller damp patch, extend the application to at least 300mm around the area to prevent the stain from reappearing. This coat will be touch dry in 2 hours and fully set for painting or wallpapering after 4 hours.
• For Areas Prone to Mould: Protect your work further with the Ronseal 6-Year No-Mould Clear Coat.
