Application Guidelines
Preparation: Ensure the source of the damp issue is fixed before applying. Open doors and windows for proper ventilation, and cover any furniture or surfaces nearby with dust sheets. Remove any wallpaper with a scraper and sand off any loose or flaking paint. Clean the area thoroughly. If mould is present, treat it with a suitable product, such as Everbuild 404 Fungicidal Wash, to prevent reappearance. Ensure the surface is damp but not dripping wet for best results.
Using Damp Seal: Stir the paint well before use. Apply with a brush or roller, ensuring coverage extends at least 30cm around any damp spots to prevent the spread of moisture. The paint will be touch dry in 2 hours and ready to paint or wallpaper over after 4 hours. For added mould protection, you can apply a coat of Ronseal 6-Year No-Mould Clear Coat.
