Toupret Plasterboard Joint Skim & Fill Quick Dry is a fast-setting powder filler for interior plasterboard jointing, skimming and surface finishing. It applies in a single coat with no shrinkage and no depth limit, and is ready to overpaint in just 3 hours. No spot priming is required before painting.

This product conforms to BS EN 13963 for plasterboard jointing applications. It bonds to gypsum, plasterboard, cement, concrete, cellular concrete, old painted surfaces and primed wood. It carries an IAQ A+ classification for very low volatile emissions into indoor air.

Mix with water at room temperature, apply the powder with a blade, putty knife or trowel. The working time is 40 minutes, giving plenty of time to finish the surface before it sets. Where additional build is needed, a second coat can go on after 45 minutes.

How to Use

• Prepare the substrate: The surface must be hard, cohesive, clean, dry and free from loose material. Prepare as per current trade practices.

• Mix: For filling, add 380ml of water per 1kg of powder (38%). For skimming, add 450ml of water per 1kg of powder (45%). Add the powder to water at room temperature and stir until smooth.

• Apply: Use a filling knife, trowel or blade. For standard applications, one coat is all that is needed. For more demanding applications, additional coats may be required.

• Second coat (if required): Where additional build is needed, a second coat can be applied after 45 minutes once the first coat has set.

• Sand: Once the filler is fully dry, sand back as needed using the appropriate abrasive. Always wear a dust mask when sanding.

• Overpaint: The surface can be painted approximately 3 hours after application. Actual drying time depends on coat thickness, substrate type and ambient conditions.
