Lumberjack 160 Benefits:

  • Water free will not cause warpage or curl of wood blocks and planks. Rapid Setting, Floors may normally be trafficked 12-24 hours after application.
  • Will bond wood directly to all common porous subfloors including concrete, wood and porous natural stone floors. Easy application by trowel.
  • High strength adhesive. Suitable for use with underfloor heating.


Flooring:

  • The wood flooring MUST be acclimatised for several days in the room where it is to be installed. Leave in original packaging during this period.
  • Application Open bucket and trowel onto floor.
  • Spread evenly with a suitable notched trowel at no less than 0.5kg/m to 1.0Kg/m. Do not spread more adhesive than can be covered within 10 to 15 minutes 1m maximum.
  • Place planks or blocks into position whilst adhesive is still tacky within 10 minutes tap into final position with mallet and block, Remove uncured adhesive with Wonder Wipes caution - test compatibility with lacquer finished blocks wipes and adhesive first.
  • Floor may be sanded and trafficked 12-24 hours after application, depending on site conditions (longer at low temperatures). If subfloor has poor absorbency allow 3 days before sanding and trafficking
  • For full surface bonding only. Ensure that the contact faces of the wood elements are fully wetted with adhesive.
  • Coverage 0.5 to 1.0 kg Litre per m2 depending upon size of notched trowel used and subfloor surface profile.
  • For the bonding of long or wide boards or in case of uneven substrates it could be necessary to use a notched trowel with bigger notches avoid hollow sections.


Product Limitations:

  • SOLVENT BASED PRODUCTS ARE FLAMMABLE. Keep away from sources of ignition.
  • Avoid inhalation of fumes and ensure good ventilation during use and after fixing until product is dry, In confined spaces use plenty of ventilation. If any of the above are an issue use lumberjack 650 flooring adhesive.
  • Do not use against bitumen or substrates that bleed oil or plasticizers.
  • This product is only suitable for direct applications to subfloors where humidity level is below 2.5%. for applications where humidity level is between 2.5 and 7%, always use Sikabond Rapid DPM Primer over screed as directed. Never apply wooden flooring under any circumstances where humidity level is above 7% check with a moisture detector.
  • Moist Floors If moisture levels in sub floor are above those recommended by the flooring manufacturer, a DPM must be used Everbuild 908 DPM is a sandwich damp proof membrane this can be used and then screeded over
  • Surface Preparation The surfaces to be glued must be porous, sound, clean, dry and free from dust, grease and other contaminants.
  • Existing floors and chipboard must be free from all polish and wax. New concrete must be allowed 4 weeks to dry and mature.


Under floor heating:

  • underfloor heating must be turned off 48 hours before and 48 hours after the adhesive has been applied.
  • Non Porous Surfaces Not suitable for direct application. Prime 1:3 to water: EVERBUILD PVA BOND and screed with a minimum 3mm depth of EVERBUILD SELF LEVEL FLEXIPLUS whilst primer is tacky. Allow to cure for 24 hours or until dry, whichever is longer then proceed as per porous surfaces.
