Titanium Bits
Titanium drill bits can be heat resistant up to 1500F, with the coating acting as a barrier between the other types of metal.
The coating makes them tougher and able to drill into hard materials.
The coating makes them heavier duty, more durable and longer lasting than a standard drill bit however this does not make them indestructible and
using them correctly will make your set last longer.
Firstly start with a small bit and work up to the size hole that is required in doing this your bits will last longer.
Please note that even in the same piece of metal there can be very hard areas and if you discover one and you can reposition the hole it would be better.
TCT Masonry Bits
Drill bits with a tungsten carbide tip TCT tend to be the strongest when it comes to solid concrete, the sharper the better.
Masonry bits cut holes through concrete in two steps.
The tip of the drill bit is larger in diameter than the shaft below so that when the shaft reaches the hole, it fits right in.
Drilling at a lower speed is more efficient for drilling through concrete, and it prevents the bit from over heating.
