Cromar Alpha Chem Boardfix Plasterboard Plus Construction Adhesive is a high-performance, fast-curing polyurethane adhesive foam for rapid fixing of plasterboard, insulation boards, roof decking, floorboards and other construction panels. Applied with a standard PU foam gun (sold separately), it can cut installation time by up to 30% compared with traditional drywall adhesives. The foam expands only slightly to take up minor surface irregularities, helps reduce cold bridging compared with dot-and-dab methods, and typically allows plastering or fixing to begin in around one hour.

How to Use

• Ensure surfaces are sound, clean, dry and free from dust, loose material, oil, grease and release agents.

• Shake the can thoroughly, then screw it onto a suitable PU foam gun, following the gun manufacturer’s instructions.

• Apply continuous beads of adhesive foam to the board, wall, battens or beams as required, avoiding excessive build-up.

• Position the board or panel within the open time, press firmly into place and support for roughly one minute until initial grab is achieved.

• Allow around one hour before plastering, skimming or installing wall fixings, and 2–3 hours for full cure under normal conditions.

• When changing cans, close the gun valve, remove the empty can, fit the new one immediately and clean the nozzle and gun regularly with a suitable PU foam gun cleaner.

• For longer breaks, flush the gun thoroughly with cleaner to prevent blockages.
