115mm Diameter 180 Grit Sanding Discs – Key FAQs
What is 180 grit best for?
180 grit is ideal for fine sanding and finishing, especially before applying paint, varnish or other topcoats.
Are these discs punched for dust extraction?
Yes, they’re pre-punched to suit dust extraction pads, but they can still be used on sanders without extraction holes.
Will these remove paint?
They’ll smooth and key existing paint, but for stripping paint you’ll usually want a coarser grit (such as 60–120).
Can I wet sand with these discs?
They’re intended for dry sanding. If you need wet sanding, use abrasives specifically rated for wet use.
How can I help the discs last longer?
Avoid heavy pressure, keep the pad moving, and clean build-up regularly (a sanding cleaning block can help reduce clogging on some materials).
