115mm 240 Grit Sanding Discs – Key FAQs
What is 240 grit best used for?
240 grit is best for ultra-fine finishing, smoothing between coats, and final preparation before applying a topcoat.
Are these discs punched for dust extraction?
Yes, they’re pre-punched (8-hole) for dust extraction pads, but they can still be used on sanders without extraction.
Can these be used to remove old paint?
They’re better for keying and smoothing paint rather than stripping it. For paint removal, use a coarser grit first.
Are they suitable for wet sanding?
These discs are intended for dry sanding. For wet sanding, choose abrasives specifically rated for wet use.
How can I reduce clogging and help them last longer?
Use light pressure, keep the pad moving, and clean dust build-up regularly (a sanding cleaning block can help on suitable materials).
