Everbuild Trowel Mastic 103 in Red is a premium oil-based mastic used for the perimeter pointing around wood and metal window and door frames everbuild 103 can be applied by a trowel applied, the trowel mastic forms a weather-tight seal.

Also suitable for re-pointing brickwork and and can also be used for bedding windows or doorframes into their surrounds or outbuildings such as green house to the base.

Everbuild 103 Red trowel mastic is easier to apply than most competitive mastics, the added plasticiser improves adhesion and helps prevent cracking.

More suited to those who prefer pointing with a trowel rather than sealant gun application.

Trowel mastic is unsuitable for pointing around plastic frames and should not be used around heat absorbing glass.

How to apply Everbuild Oil Based Coloured Trowel Mastic:

Suface Preperation:

All friable material needs to be removed the surface needs to be clean of debris dust grease and must be dry for a long term job.

Application of Everbuild 103 Oil Based Trowel Mastic:

Apply using a thin pointing trowel, tuck point trowel for joints from 13mm wide or putty knife, working the mastic well into the joint and ensuring no voids remain.

The oil based mastic should be finish smooth to a triangular fillet.

When used for fillet pointing between frame and surround, joints should be a minimum width of 10mm with a minimum depth of 6mm.

Painting and Maintenance:

The Oil Based Mastic may be fully protected with an undercoat and top coat after a surface skin has formed whicj is normally 7 to 28 days.

This coating will prolong the working life, but is not essential.
