The hard plastic broom head bracket is suitable for fixing to a flat broom head.

Features 4 screw holes to make a very strong connection.

Fixes and supports 23mm - 24mm 15/16 inch diameter broom handle poles.

Can be used with 4.0 x 25mm or 30mm wood screws.

Please note - If the broom head is thick enough, the longer the screws the better.

Installation

• Line up the fitting in the middle of the broom
• Using a marker pen or pencil mark the holes
• Remove the bracket and using a bradawl mark the holes
• The brawl may be enough to penetrate the head to start the screws, if the broom head is very hard using a small drill, drill the pilot holes
• Now simply screw the bracket into place making sure that the screws are fully home
• Tip for installing a broom handle, if the broom handle is very tight, place the broom handle near a heat source to dry it out
• The broom handle tip can also be scratched firmly with the grain using an old food fork, this removes some of the wood and allows for easier insertion
• Once started, turn the broom over and tap the broom handle on the floor and the shock will force the handle into the socket
• Finally secure the handle with a thin screw

Screw Tip

If your hands are weak or you are not used to using screws, the use of torx screws is a good option as there is very little effort needed to keep the torque screwdriver or bit in the screw making them much easier to screw home.
