Silverline dowel and drill bit 47 piece set comes with 3 carbon steel wood boring drill bits in 6mm, 8mm and 10mm. 

Wood Dowels are thicker and sturdier than nails or screws and therefore less prone to breakage.

They provide a stronger joint than just using glue as they insert into both the pieces of wood being joined together.

The dowels give a larger gluing surface making the joints stronger than standard fixings.
