FAQs Everbuild 906 Black Jack Bitumen Emulsion Coating
1. What surfaces can the coating be applied to?
Everbuild 906 is a versatile bitumen-based emulsion suitable for application on a wide range of surfaces, including concrete, corrugated iron, asphalt, roofing felt, slates, and asbestos. It can be used to protect and waterproof both new and existing roofing systems. Before application, ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from debris or loose material to achieve optimal adhesion and performance.
2. How does this roofing emulsion protect against weather-related damage?
This product creates a robust, water-resistant barrier that effectively prevents moisture penetration, reducing the risk of leaks and damage caused by rain, frost, and snow. Its unique formula also provides resistance to UV exposure, helping to protect roofs from cracking and degradation caused by prolonged sunlight.
3. Can Everbuild 906 be used as both a waterproof coating and a repair solution?
Yes, this bitumen emulsion serves dual purposes. It acts as a protective waterproof coating for large roof areas and is also effective for patch repairs on damaged roofing surfaces. Its thick, flexible consistency allows it to seal cracks and minor imperfections, restoring the roof's integrity and extending its lifespan.
4. How should this product be applied for the best results?
To achieve a professional finish, stir the emulsion thoroughly before use. Apply it with a brush, roller, or squeegee in thin, even layers. For enhanced durability, consider applying two coats, allowing the first coat to dry completely before the second application. Avoid applying in wet or freezing conditions, as this can compromise adhesion and curing. Ensure adequate ventilation during application and drying if used in enclosed areas.
