Alpha Chem Super Sealer a high performance specially formulated to provide a water repellent natural finish, it is a spirit based transparent water repellent treatment that penetrates deep into the treated timber, please note it can not be overcoated with another product afterwards.

Alphachem Decking Sealer is unaffected by ultra violet light and offers improved water beading when compared to other products.

Alphachem Decking Sealer will waterproof and protect any smooth or ridged, hardwood or softwood decking timber including pressure treated, pre treated or preservative impregnated timber.

The Sealer helps to prevent drying, wetting, swelling, splitting and cracking of the timber, but still allowing the surface to breathe and moisture inside the wood to evaporate

Preparation

Ensure that the decking timbers are completely dry and free from any dust, dirt, lichen, oil etc. prior to application.

Remove all existing loose and flaking stains.

Do not use detergents to clean down the substrate.

If jet washing timber allow a couple of days to fully dry.

Application Instructions

A test patch is always recommended, prior to use to ensure desired result is achieved.

Do not apply in wet conditions or if rain or frost is likely before the product is completely dry

Pour the decking Sealer into a suitable Paint kettle.

Apply liberally 2 coats leaving 24 hours between coats using a brush, roller or low‐pressure spray

( do not use a spray in windy conditions do not spray on any form of vegetation protect plants and surrounding areas from overspray.

Very porous timber may require a third coat.

On horizontal timber decking remove puddling by redistributing to dry areas after 15 minutes.

Ensure adequate ventilation when applying Cromar Alpha Chem Decking Sealer.

Cleaning

Brushes etc can be cleaned using White Spirit removing as much Decking Sealer as possible before cleaning. on a bare piece of timber.
